Why The Car Air Conditioner Not Cooling?

Jun 28, 2023

1. The condenser needs to be cleaned

The condenser is the heat dissipation part in the car air-conditioning system. It is generally located at the front of the car, which makes it easy to adhere to various dust and sundries that leak in from the gap in the engine cover. The heat dissipation is not good, resulting in the air conditioner is not cool.

2. The filter needs to be replaced.

As the use time increases, more and more dust and impurities will be adsorbed on the filter element. When the accumulation of dirt reaches a certain level, the surface of the air filter element will be easily clogged, resulting in insufficient air output from the air conditioner, thereby affecting the normal cooling effect of the air conditioner.

3. The air conditioning cycle mode needs to be adjusted.

The air conditioner in the car is generally in the external circulation mode by default. If your air conditioner is not cold, check to see if it has been in the long-term external circulation mode. Because the external circulation will bring in the high-temperature air from the outside, the cooling effect is naturally not as good as the internal circulation mode. While the car is moving, it needs a lot of power to cool down, and the effect is definitely not as good as the internal circulation.

4. The belt is aging and needs to be replaced.

This failure is not very common, because many models have a long pulley replacement cycle. However, if there is a problem with the belt earlier than the replacement cycle, it may cause slippage during operation, causing the air conditioner compressor to work abnormally and cause the air conditioner to not cool.
