Piezoresistive flexible pressure sensors mainly incorporate conductive phases, such as carbon fibers, carbon nanotubes, metal particles, etc. into insulating base materials PI, PDMS, etc., to make flexible piezoresistive materials.
The piezoresistive flexible pressure sensor intuitively reads the change of external force by sensing the electrical signal generated by the resistance change caused by the external force. When an external force acts on the sensing point of the sensor, its resistance will change in a negative correlation with the external force, that is, when the pressure tends to zero, the greater the resistance; the greater the pressure, the smaller the resistance. There are many types of this type of sensor, and it has become the most widely used type of pressure sensor based on the characteristics of single device and simple signal derivation mechanism.
